right now i can say to myself "happy new year"! i can because the new year signifies more than just a date or block on the calendar for us all to dress festive in order to celebrate change and chart goals. the new - ness of "the new year" begins ANY moment we DECIDE to see and believe from a new perspective.
so my shift on this day - in this moment - right now on december 30th is to reflect on my perspective as a whole. and ah, what a shift--
i CHOOSE to welcome DIVINE LOVE ENERGY to flow into my visions
and into my living and into my BEING.
i CHOOSE to see LOVE in everything that comes to me.
i CHOOSE to trust in this perspective to keep me in
LOVE with MYSELF and MY LIFE and to share the energy that i feel.
this shift in awareness will permeate every tier of my life.
happy new perspective
to you

rumi and me
rumi delights my soul with words that open my spiritual eyes
to the creative power of life experience. i am grateful for the
shadow as well as the light as through each i better understand love.
The Guest House
This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
As an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they're a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.

creative gifting for free, yes it's free
don't get too wired with worry about gifting this year. be creative and give yourself to someone. go to www.giftcoupon.com and send a note to invite someone to spend time with you. what a present, eh?
if you cook, invite someone for dinner. if you read oracle cards, give a reading away. if you're funny, invite somebody out for coffee and crack 'em up.
really be creative. it's getting cold out there.
get closer.
