some days
the pace of living
set by this city [NYC]
makes me yearn for a gentler way to light my fire
like today
i could spark mad-fierce illumination with just
stones
rocks
trees
bodies
water
words
dreams
i dream ::
i live near a waterfall
i inhabit this house
{pix snatched from helena post-creatrix/ blog!}
i dream ::
i own a two-room used bookstore
with complimentary tea and cookies
book clubs
poetry clubs
for writers and readers
[and the second room]
space for me to teach yoga
and meditation
because
some days
i realize i might be happier with less

Hey M, I Love your vision for your life. I had a similar one once upon a time, it still speaks to me, but life took me in another direction, which is fine, too.
I love small cave-like natural homes. They really feel like Home. Thanks so much for sharing these with me and your vision. I support you wholeheartedly in realizing it.
wonderful dream, and yes!! less is best!
Ahhh, a beautiful dream...less is more, the first rule of interior decorating whether in one's home or in one's life. And I hope the storm that's coming your way, stays cold outside but leaves you warm and toasty inside.
simplicity is a blessing, that is easy to forget in the midst of a full hectic life...I used to imagine a three room space that my friend and I would facilitate for others...one for making art, one for meditation and yoga and one where we prepare and serve homemade soup and bread to continue the nourishment of bodymindheartsoul. I love the image you posted...a perfect little gnome mound, my kind of place:)
thanks for you support, teresa! we'll see how my vision crystallizes.
good to meet you neva.
kittie, less is more. thanks.
laura---yes, a perfect gnome place. i LOve it!
I think we all might be happier with less baggage and stuff...beautiful words. Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
