wings are for flying

my two sides
sideone :: life-dancer
a fire of multi-colored flame
direct
with my speech and laughter
winged womanchild
magical nectar of hope and inspiration
dripping from her lips and
running through her being
living with her heart
fearlessly vulnerable
^flipside :: calculated
observer
hosting an inner dialogue of judgments
constricted woman
with wings pinned to the side of her myhead
tight/squeezing
fear-full
needlessly cautious
now
i see both sides of
myself
each vying to embody me
[i can choose]
one offers
life,
the other regret.

Lovely post! It's that dreadful 'inner dialogue of judgement' that wants to snap the tree's life - men don't have this dialogue so much...I've wondered why...perhaps it's because they're the hunters...slay the beast...haul it back...done deal; women are left alone, have to protect the nest, kids, the essence of life - but they know they can slay the dragon...and, so, the beat goes on...

i agree this is a very lovely thoughtful post...flow like the waters of the river...do not fight the currents flow and you will be freed. Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
